Terms of service

Effective October 11, 2026 · Masterpilots LLC, Orlando, Florida, USA

By using LogAloft you agree to these terms. Please read them; they are short.

What LogAloft is

LogAloft estimates cosmic-radiation dose from a flight's track or route using the FAA's CARI-7A model and public space-weather data. It is an estimate for personal information. It is not a dosimeter, not a regulatory dose record, not medical advice, and not a substitute for the dose-assessment program of your employer or national authority. Do not use it as the sole basis for any medical, employment or legal decision.

Accuracy

The galactic dose carries the uncertainty of the model class (about ±20 %); the solar-storm term about a factor of two; cancer-risk figures apply a population model to an individual. Flight tracks come from third parties and can be incomplete or wrong. We work to keep the service accurate and available but do not guarantee either.

Flight, weather and commuting information

Flight times, gates, delays, weather, FAA delay programs and commuting options come from third parties and can be late, incomplete or wrong. They are for planning your day, not for operating an aircraft. Always check your airline's systems and official sources, and confirm seats and listing with the airline yourself. LogAloft does not know seat availability and cannot guarantee that a flight will get you to work on time.

Partner links

Some links to travel services (for example an eSIM data plan for a layover country, or a flight-delay compensation service) are affiliate links: if you buy through them, Masterpilots LLC may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. They are labeled "Affiliate link", they are plain links, and LogAloft sends nothing about you to those companies.

Your account and content

You are responsible for your login and for what you enter. The flights and records you save are yours; you grant us only the permission needed to store and show them to you. You may export or delete them at any time.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to look up flights at a volume that harms the service or exceeds your plan, scrape it, resell its output, or attempt to access other people's records. We may suspend accounts that do.

Plans

Without an account, flight lookups show an estimate, or the flown track when we already have it; a few flights a day between US airports come with their flown track. A free account includes the logbook for up to 25 flights or 50 hours, whichever comes first (15 flights, with no hour limit, for frequent flyers), the flown track for flights between US airports, and flown tracks for 2 other flights a month; after that, doses are estimated. When the free logbook is full it is read-only: you keep every flight and can see, export and delete them, but adding or changing flights needs Pro. LogAloft Pro adds an unlimited logbook, the flown track for every flight, gate and delay alerts, and commuting options. Pro is for one person's own flying: fair use is about 200 flown tracks, 150 alerts and 60 commuting searches a month, and we may slow use far above that. Where Pro is sold, your first plan starts with a 14-day free trial, one per person. You add a card at checkout; nothing is charged during the trial, and if you cancel before it ends you pay nothing. If you don't cancel, the plan starts and your card is charged when the trial ends.

LogAloft Pro, renewals and refunds

Paid plans are billed by Stripe in advance for the period shown at checkout and renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from the account page; the plan then runs to the end of the paid period. Refunds are given for the unused part of a yearly plan on request within 30 days of a renewal. Prices may change with notice before your next renewal.

Fly the Dose weekly prize

Fly the Dose, the game at logaloft.com/play, has a weekly prize run by Masterpilots LLC (Orlando, Florida). No purchase is necessary: a free LogAloft account is all it takes. It is a contest of skill; chance plays no part in who wins. Open to people 18 or older (or the age of majority where they live), where the law allows it.

The week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 UTC. To enter, fly the daily challenge while signed in (a flight flown signed out can be counted by signing in within three days). LogAloft's server flies each daily again from your controls and its result is the one that counts; your best score on each daily is added to your week. Demo flights, other routes and the takeoff and landing bonuses don't count. To place, at least three dailies that week with two stars or more. Ties go to the player who reached the score first.

Prizes, given the following Monday: 1st place 14 days of LogAloft Pro, 2nd and 3rd place 7 days each (retail value about $3.73 and $1.86 at the monthly price). On a free or trial account the days are added as LogAloft Pro (after any trial); on a paid plan, the next renewal moves later by the same number of days. Prizes have no cash value and can't be transferred or exchanged. Winners are told in the game and the logbook; the week's standings show initials and points only.

One account per person. We may withhold a prize or close an account for cheating, tampering with the game or its results, or using several accounts; the server's result is final. We may change or end the prize with notice in the game; a week already under way keeps its rules. Taxes, if any, are the winner's.

Boards, leagues and ghosts. The landing challenge has a daily board of its own, and crew leagues narrow the boards to an airline, a base or a fleet; neither has a prize. The day's best checked flight may be shown to other players as a ghost to fly against, with its initials and its controls only.

Invite a friend

Each account has an invite link. When someone opens a new LogAloft account through your link (within 60 days, on an account less than 30 days old) and keeps LogAloft Pro past their second monthly payment, or for 14 days on a yearly plan, with the plan still active and not set to cancel, you each get one month of Pro free. On a paid plan, the next renewal moves a month later; otherwise the month is added as LogAloft Pro, right away. Up to 12 months a year for the person who invites; the friend's month isn't limited by that.

It doesn't count for your own accounts, an account opened on a device where your account was signed in, or a friend who pays with a card already on your account. Free months have no cash value and can't be transferred or exchanged. We may withhold them or close accounts for abuse, and change or end the program with notice; a friend already signed up keeps the rules they joined under.
